Sustainability Reporting at EBRD
I am very pleased to interview for the Associate Director – Sustainability Reporting role. I see this as an opportunity to help position EBRD not only as a leader in sustainability implementation, but also as a leader in sustainability reporting—through stronger data, more robust processes and enhanced global positioning.

MY EXPERIENCE AND POSITION
In my current role, I operate at the intersection of sustainability, finance and EU policy. I lead the sustainability area for the InvestEU programme, reporting the metrics and coordinating across teams to ensure consistency, alignment and timely delivery.

I engage actively with EU stakeholders and financial institutions, representing the Bank in external working groups and policy discussions in Brussels.

I have also contributed to strategic discussions at senior management level, including advising on the Bank’s approach to emerging frameworks such as ISSB and CSRD.

This combination of operational delivery, strategic involvement and external engagement provides a strong foundation to contribute to the next phase of sustainability reporting at the Bank.

I aim to support positioning EBRD not only as a leader in sustainability implementation, but also as a leader in sustainability reporting—through stronger data, more robust processes and enhanced global positioning.

POSITIONING EBRD
The Bank is already a leader in sustainability implementation, with strong integration of environmental and social considerations into investment decisions. The next step is to fully translate this strength into a consolidated reporting architecture that reflects this leadership externally. Given its close alignment with EU frameworks and its operational footprint, EBRD is uniquely positioned to bridge EU and global sustainability reporting standards.
Sustainability reporting is increasingly shaped through international dialogue and evolving standard-setting processes. Through my engagement with EU institutions, MDB working groups and prior experience in the ESG space, I have developed a strong network and a clear understanding of these dynamics. I would aim to further strengthen the Bank’s external positioning by contributing to global discussions and reinforcing its role as a reference institution in sustainability disclosure.

PRIORITIES & LEADERSHIP

I would focus on three priorities to strengthen sustainability reporting at the Bank:

1. Building robust data foundations
Establishing clear ownership, validation processes and full traceability to ensure data is reliable and audit-ready.
2. Enhancing reporting processes
Increasing automation, reducing reliance on manual inputs and improving coordination across teams to create more efficient and consistent reporting systems.
3. Integrating with financial reporting
Aligning sustainability reporting with financial reporting standards, strengthening internal controls and supporting audit-readiness.
Delivering on these priorities requires strong leadership across functions. In my current role, I manage cross-departmental collaboration, align stakeholders and ensure delivery in complex environments.
I see this role not only as technical, but as a leadership function that connects sustainability, finance and operations—while also strengthening the Bank’s external positioning in global sustainability reporting discussions.

EXPERIENCE & STRATEGIC EXPOUSURE
Earlier in my career, I worked across public policy, development finance and the private sector, including roles at the Argentine National Congress, the Inter-American Development Bank and JPMorgan, focusing on sustainable development and environmental policy.
This experience has given me a broad understanding of how policy, finance and institutions interact to shape sustainability outcomes.
Combined with my current operational and strategic work, it provides a strong foundation to contribute to the next stage of sustainability reporting at the Bank.
I also bring strong analytical capabilities, developed through my Master’s degree in Economics and my PhD studies at the University of Cambridge, which I apply to reporting methodologies, data analysis and the interpretation of sustainability metrics.
Thanks for reading!
I am eager to apply my energy, experience, and enthusiasm to the work of your team.
